April 9, 2018 Accuver Provides Narrowband-IoT (NB-IoT) Test Tools and Test Devices
NB-IoT, a narrowband radio technology specified in 3GPP Release 13 standards for the Internet of Things (IoT), has started to become reality. With NB-IoT technology, applications and services like smart metering, smart homes, healthcare, etc. are expected to be significantly improved.
Accuver is pleased to announce that its XCAL and XCAP suite of tools is ready for NB-IoT testing. Additionally, Accuver has also released a NB-IoT test device. The combination of Accuver XCAL/XCAP tools and NB-IoT test device enables customers to quickly do NB-IoT testing in the lab and in the field.
Accuver XCAL and XCAP tools currently support Qualcomm MDM9206 and HiSilicon Neul chipsets. The former supports LTE Cat-M1 and NB-IoT, while the latter only supports NB-IoT. XCAL and XCAP tools allow users to:
- Measure NB-IoT network performance and coverage, including NB-IoT KPIs, RF parameters, signaling messages, operation mode (in-band, guard-band, or standalone), and repetition number.
- Provide comprehensive analysis, including task failure, latency, call events, power consumption under different scenarios, and generate user-defined reports.
Accuver NB-IoT test device supports the following bands: B1, B2, B3, B5, B8, B12, B13, B17, B18, B19, B20, B25, B28, and B66. The device also supports LTE Cat-M1. The USB form-factor makes it very convenient to use for testing.
